Alvin Poh was born in Singapore. He came from a working-class family in Kovan, where his mother worked as a clinical assistant while his father worked multiple jobs. Poh has claimed that the lack of an allowance spurred him to find ways to have an income, and eventually was one of the reasons that led him to co-found the company with his school-mate. In 2002, Poh was 17 when he co-founded his first company, Vodien Studios, a web design firm that provided services such as graphic design, web design, web development, and web hosting services. Later, the company pivoted, restructuring and removing several business functions and services.  In July 2017, Poh sold the business to Dreamscape Networks (DN8:ASX), a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, most popularly known for operating the domain name registry, Crazy Domains. The deal was valued at SGD30 million, and allowed the combined entity to expand into Southeast Asia through Singapore. Today, Alvin is all about one thing, helping clients with " Super Scaling Your Business".

 

After more than 30 years in the apparel industry, Michigan native Linda Schlesinger-Wagner, was  inspired to create a brand that filled a void she felt existed in the women's apparel industry. In 2009,  skinnytees (TM) started with a single one-size-fits-most silhouette, the seamless camisole. Schlesinger-Wagner didn't stop there and quickly rolled out a complete line of essential styles that helped redefine  the smooth wear industry. She has also been a board member of the Detroit  Garment Group since 2019, and is a 2021 Honoree of the Pillars of Birmingham. 

Shawn Harper is a former NFL offensive lineman who played a total of seven seasons with the Rams, the Oilers, the Colts, and NFL Europe. Since 2004 he has owned and operates American Services and Protection, a multi-million-dollar security services firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.  His journey from the grit and sweat of the NFL locker room to the corporate culture of the boardroom proved that he could win in both worlds by using many of the same principles and strategies!
